We do not make the decisions regarding Departmental matters. The only authority to make decisions regarding an immigration matter is the Department of Home Affairs. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your visa will be granted, but we will do our very best to assist you with your application, and provide you with quality advice.

  • Can I apply from overseas?

Mostly, yes. The department has made it accessible to apply from overseas for some visa categories. It is important to check that the visa you are applying for, allows offshore applications.

  • What’s the difference between a Registered Migration Agent, and a migration agent based in my home country?

An Australian Registered Migration Agent MUST be registered with the Migration Agents Registering Authority (MARA), or they are not permitted to provide Australian Immigration advice. Many overseas agents are not registered, so it is important to check that your Migration Agent has the correct registration with the MARA office. All registered Migration Agents are provided with a MARA number, so remember to ask your agent for their MARA number.
